Which SUV for Cyprus?

If your week is mostly motorway between towns, a diesel mid-size SUV keeps costs lowest. If you actually use the tracks into the hills, look for real all-wheel drive and decent ground clearance rather than the look of it. City-only driving is better served by a small petrol or hybrid crossover.

What to check on a used SUV here

Heat and dust are hard on cooling systems and air conditioning, and coastal air is hard on the underside. Check the underbody, the radiator and condenser, the state of the tyres, and whether the four-wheel-drive system has ever been serviced.

Buying across districts
