Controller
KLEINMOTION LTD (HE 480171), trading as EasyMove by Klein, Nikitara 2, Filoktitis Complex, House 10, 8250 Paphos, Cyprus, operates this website and is the controller for the processing described here. Contact: +357 94 314 722.
Visiting the site
Server logs: the hosting provider (Vercel Inc., with EU data-processing agreement) records IP address, time and requested page for security and stability for a short period (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Saved cars: the heart button stores your selection only in your own browser (local storage) — the list itself never reaches us, and it does not follow you to another device. If you have accepted “Statistics”, the fact that a car was saved or unsaved is counted in our own visitor statistics, without any identifier that points to you.
Cookie choice: your answer to the cookie banner is stored in your own browser so we do not ask again.
Accounts and logging in
Placing an ad needs no account. To message a seller, to see your ads on another device or to keep them in one place, you can sign in with Google. We use Supabase (Supabase Inc., EU region, with data-processing agreement) to store accounts and to sign you in, and we process the name and e-mail address Google passes to us. We never receive or store a password — for your Google account or for this site (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Posting without an account: your ad is held by a secret link that we store only as a one-way fingerprint, and your browser keeps a copy of that link in a cookie so you stay in control of the ad. We cannot recover the link for you, and nobody who does not have it can reach your ad.
Placing an ad
An ad you publish contains what you enter: vehicle details, description, photos, your district and your phone number. The district and the fact that you are a private seller or a dealer are shown publicly. Your phone number and your WhatsApp number are not in the page source: a number is revealed one at a time when a visitor presses “Show phone number” or the WhatsApp button. Your e-mail address is never shown to anyone.
Registration number: if you start by entering your plate, it is stored with the ad so we can check that a real vehicle is behind it and spot the same car posted twice. It is never published and never shown to buyers.
Photos are stored with Supabase. We re-encode every uploaded photo, which removes camera metadata including any GPS location it contained.
Every ad is reviewed by a person before publication. Legal basis: performance of the contract for the free listing service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Text messages we send you
We use the phone number on your advert for three kinds of text message, sent through sms.to (Intergo Telecom Ltd, Cyprus) acting as our processor.
Sign-in codes. A six-digit code, only ever because you just asked for one. Your own advert. If a car was posted under your number without an account, one message telling you how to take control of it. Both are needed to provide the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Our paid promotion. Now and then, a message about how often your own car has been looked at and what it costs to promote it. This is direct marketing of our own services to people who already use them, on the basis of our legitimate interest in funding a site that charges no commission and no listing fee (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and section 106 of the Regulation of Electronic Communications and Postal Services Law of 2004, 112(I)/2004).
Every promotional message carries a link that stops them, in one tap and free of charge. You can also tell us using the details in the Imprint. We keep the number on a do-not-message list so that no later campaign reaches it either. Sign-in codes and messages about your own advert are not advertising and continue, and stopping the promotion changes nothing about your advert.
We never pass your number to anyone else for their own advertising, and we never sell it.
Messages between buyer and seller
Messages you send through the site are stored with the ad so both sides can read the conversation in their inbox. We notify the other side by e-mail that a message has arrived; the notification contains the message text but not your e-mail address — replies go through the site. Buyers and sellers never see each other’s e-mail address (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
If you contact a seller by WhatsApp or by phone instead, that conversation happens outside this website and we are not part of it. WhatsApp is operated by Meta Platforms Ireland; its own privacy policy applies.
Dealer and advertising enquiries
If you apply for a dealer account or ask about advertising, we process the company and contact details you enter (including company name, contact person, phone, e-mail, town, and registration or VAT number where given) in order to answer you and to check that the business exists (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Approved dealers get a public dealer page showing their company name, logo, town and website.
Statistics and advertising measurement
Only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR):
Our own visitor statistics: when you accept “Statistics”, we record which page was opened, its title, the website you came from, your device type, your country and how long the page was in front of you, together with a random session id that is kept only until you close the tab. This runs on our own servers, sets no cookie and is never shared. If you do not accept, nothing is recorded.
Advertising measurement: when you accept “Marketing”, Google Ads and, where enabled, Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel are loaded to measure whether our advertising led to an enquiry. Google Ireland Ltd and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd may transfer data to the USA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
Neither is loaded before you accept, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Retention
Ads and their photos are kept while they are online and removed when you delete them. Messages are kept while the conversation is relevant to the sale. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete the account. Statistics are stored without any direct identifier. Log data is deleted after a short period. Where accounting law requires it, records of paid services are kept for the statutory period. A record that a text message was sent is kept so that nobody is written to twice; a number that has asked not to receive promotion stays on the do-not-message list until you ask us to remove it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus. Contact us at the number above to exercise your rights; to delete your account and everything in it, one message is enough.
